Team Cycad had an existing website that they required some modifications to, which mainly centred around making two versions of the same site, one focused on their burgeoning USA market and one focused for their Australian and Melbourne audience. The same site architecture would be used across both geographic platforms, but the images and content had to be target market specific. Yarra web’s design allowed the aims to be achieved in a simple one click portal from the homepage to direct the traffic to the relevant location.
Yarra Web also made a number of improvements to the design, including a rotating slideshow background, social media inclusions, a video page and various other functionality which allowed greater site/user interaction.
The most important feature included was the content management system (CMS) which allows the Team Cycad administration to update all content, images, slideshows, videos without the need for further consultation with Yarra Web. In order to implement this system the site had to be rebuilt in HTML from it’s original Flash design, whilst still incorporating and even adding to the effects and dynamism that the Flash version offered.
