When Hearlink, one of Melbourne's most prominent audiology centres developed a highly innovative new listening device for motorcycle riders, they decided that the product deserved an entirely new website to showcase it's features, as well as related and next NoiseGuard products. This new product, called NoiseGuard Moto required an innovative, fresh and high octane design to match the flavour and appeal of the product.
One of the challenges of creating such a web design was to give each page of the site a fresh and slightly different layout, while making sure not to distract or confuse users by maintaining a level of continuity from page to page. As a user navigates through the site, it is possible to see that this goal was achieved.
NoiseGuard already had a video professionally developed which was perfectly suited to be applied as online media. The video was therefore uploaded to YouTube and embedded into the homepage of the NoiseGuard site. The use of YouTube as the platform for showing the video achieved three important objectives:
- To allow smooth streaming and fast download and viewing time for the users.
- To not slow down the loading of the homepage, which could have increased the site’s bounce rate.
- To offer extra exposure in YouTube itself for the product.
The website also required pages for separate products and catalogues, pages for content such as testimonials and links and also a photo gallery which could be updated by NoiseGuard Admin quickly and easily.
As well as the above, the NoiseGuard site was launched with Google Analytics for website usage tracking and Google AdWords for website marketing and exposure.
