Stewart Lodge Supportive Residential Service is a facility located in Melbourne registered by the Department of Human Services to provide accommodation and assistance for people who do not have the ability or capacity to live independently. In 2011, management at Stewart Lodge decided it was time to put their organisation online by having a website designed.
The goal of the website was to display all the relevant information that future residents and their carers and families would need, in order to make an informed decision on such an important choice as choosing a supportive residential service for a friend, family member or loved one.
To that end, the website displays all information in a user friendly and uncomplicated manner, providing clear and simple navigation and the tactical use of graphics to highlight important information and break up the text into readable and engaging elements. A clear contact page is provided without any unnecessary clutter that could confuse users.
The website design was very mindful of the brand message of Stewart Lodge, which is a caring, accepting yet highly professional organisation that can cater to the needs of all its members. The use of colour, tone and font suggests these brand elements, as well as the choice and placement of images throughout the website.
