Western 4x4, located in Hoppers Crossing is one of Melbourne’s largest 4x4 specialists and general automobile mechanics. As such Western 4x4 had from an early period maintained a web presence, but realised the value in refreshing and upgrading their website.
The purpose of the new website is to generate qualified leads to the store in terms of phone calls and walk-ins. Some of the crucial points to communicate to users were the vast amount of 4x4 merchandise and accessories they stocked as well as the types of vehicle servicing they offer. In order to achieve this a page on each of these areas was created as well as a homepage banner with graphics to link to these pages. The homepage banner was also used to display a video advertisement the company had produced for television for users who prefer graphical and audio information rather than reading content.
The site is now maintained by Western 4x4 through a content management system (CMS), which allows them to effectively update news, accessories, brands, servicing items and all content and images on the website. As well as this, Western 4x4 management can easily create and delete new email addresses for staff members as the need arises.
The website also now employs Google analytics as an effective means to track visits and site usage statistics.
